


She started with “Going Away,” about all the things you bring to summer camp. Next was “Peanut Butter and Jelly,” a song from when she was in summer camp. She said, “you might be allergic to peanut butter, but singing won’t give your allergies.” After was a song from her first children’s cd Catch the Moon called “Little Red Caboose.” Following was a Neal Young song called “Love Is a Rose” and “Grandma’s in the Cellar,” a song she learned in Texas. Closing, was the sincere, fun “Best Friend,” where she noted how she’s been friends with her best since 7th grade. During all the songs she really encouraged crowd participation and kids were coming on stage. It was a refreshing environment to be in and though I enjoyed the set. It reminded me of my youth.

Afterwards, Lisa meet with fans and signed cds. It was a pleasure meeting her after listening to her for about half my life.
I encourage parents with youngsters or anyone that know youngsters to pick up “Camp Lisa,” 19 selections of sweet, catchy, fun songs. Some of you might even remember some of this songs from your youth. A blast from the past for your enjoyment.
