Where I'll Be This Week

July is filled with all genres of music. Here are the events I'll be going to this week:

Tonight, 7/6
NaNuchKa, Lunic and Strange Things Done in the Midnight Sun @ Crash Mansion, NYC. 18+. $10. 8:30pm. Nanuchka brings a gypsy-folk rock sound with lovely vocals. Lunic is lead by Kaitee Page, a beautiful rock sensation with a pretty voice and lyrics. STDITMS is a alternative-post punk rock band from New Jersey.

Tuesday, 7/8
Clarice Assad @ Grace Building Plaza, NYC. All Ages. FREE. 12:30pm. Assad plays piano and blends jazz and Brazilian sounds for a sophisticated style.

As Tall As Lions, Leah Siegal, and The Circus @ Maxwells, Hoboken, NJ. All Ages. $10 advance/ $12 doors. 9pm. As Tall As Lions is an ambient rock band from Long Island whose lush vocals and sweet lyrics melt your heart. Siegal is a female singer who also brings a nice, rock vibe. The Circus is a rock band from New Jersey.


Thursday, 7/10
Team Spider, Whack, Dead End Saints, The Preps, and Wombat in Combat @ Bowery Poetry Club, NYC. All Ages. $7. 6pm. Team Spider is a self-proclaimed bike punk band. Whack is a dynamically fun ska-punk band.

Friday, 7/11
Brazilian Girls, Miranda!, and Ticklah @ Prospect Park, Brooklyn. All Ages. FREE. 7pm. Brazilian Girls mix reggae, electronic, jazz, bossa nova, and other influences to bring an eclectic sound that only has one girl in it, lead vocalist Sabina Sciubba, and three guys, but not a single Brazilian.

Saturday, 7/12
Hot Water Music, Thursday, and Paint It Black @ Terminal 5, NYC. All Ages. $24.50. 7pm. Hot Water Music, the Gainesville punk outfit who recently reunited and Thursday, the New Brunswick, NJ post hardcore co-headline.
