Punch/Death First @ Death By Audio 7-24-09
This past Friday I attended a hardcore/punk show featuring Punch, Nomos, Olde Ghost, and Death First at Death by Audio in Brooklyn. Hardcore is a genre of music that is very intense, fast, short, and honest. Last time I was at Death by Audio for a hardcore show Zombie Dogs, Deathrats, and others played but nobody moved around. It would be different this time as there was 2-stepping, jumping, and moshing present, especially for San Fransisco's female fronted 5-piece, Punch. However, my only complaint is that while these songs, as great as they are, stir up all this moving, the songs are far too short and often end quite abruptly. I want there to be practically non-stop moving and for the energy to hardly let up. But it was a good show, as short as it was.
More videos from the show can be viewed here.
