Yesterday at 4:51pm The Starland Ballroom left a cryptic update on Facebook: "heard something about a new venue opening..." Then earlier today they revealed a photo of what looked like a building. Many wondered is this the new venue? What is this picture? Well, Starland has announced a new show at a new venue! O.A.R. live at the new MAC at Monmouth University on Nov. 8th! The show is on-sale Friday, Sept. 25th at 10am. Check out the facebook event here.
Located at the center of Monmouth University’s beautiful 156-acre campus, the 153,200-square-foot ‘MAC’ (an acronym for Multipurpose Activity Center) houses a 4,100-seat competition arena; a 200-meter, six-lane indoor track; locker rooms; educational and conference space; ground-level bookstore; and fitness center.
The new MAC held its ribbon cutting ceremony today at 3pm. The new space is located at 400 Cedar Avenue in West Long Branch, New Jersey. More info available here.
