This Thursday, Jan. 28 Beyond Race Magazine will host its emerging artists showcase and issue release party at BLVD (at Crash Mansion), 199 Bowery in New York City. They'll be giveaways, prizes, and more, plus an open bar with Ciroc Vodka and Colt 45 Malt Liquor from 7-9 pm.
With performances by Bodega Girls, Blitz the Ambassador, and Grandchildren. DJ Jedi will spin all night. Doors are at 7pm. Tickets are $10 at the door. All ticket proceeds will go to Partners in Health to aid in their relief effort in Haiti.
Bodega Girls from Boston grace the cover of the new issue and mix soul and electro-beats with hints of rock for a sound that will get you moving. Blitz the Ambassador from Brooklyn delivers a refreshing dose of hip-hop. Finally, Grandchildren from Philly is a "six-man band trying to be a thirty-man band."
