Contest: Win a copy of the XX's CD

On Nov. 12 the XX performed on MTV's It's On With Alexa Chung, a day after their sold-out show at Bowery Ballroom, and Star Beat was there. The London-group performed "Basic Space," which is on the band's new cd, simply entitled XX and we're giving a copy away to one winner along with some other goodies. Just answer/do the following:

1. What label is the XX signed to?
2. What do you think XX means/represents/stands for?
3. Leave a comment on a recent post, include your name.

Send your two answers with a link to your comment to, plus name and city/state to: us with the subject "XX Contest." Contest open only to U.S. residents.

Winner will receive the XX cd, an exclusive Star Beat mix cd, Coheed and Cambria magnet, Matt and Kim sticker, and Shiragirl sticker. The person with the correct answer for question 1 and best responses for 2 and 3 will win. A winner will be chosen and contacted on Sunday. Contest ends 1/17 @ 8PM.
