Is there a show you've been to that stands out as your favorite or the most influential on your life?

That's tough considering I've been to over 200 shows since 2001. I can say that 2007 was probably the best year for shows since I started attending. It was incredible actually. I saw Alexisonfire, Anti-Flag, Thursday, Paulson, RX Bandits, Otep, Madina Lake, Funeral for a Friend, The Sleeping, Muse, Interpol, Receiving End of Sirens, Minus the Bear, As Cities Burn, and As I Lay Dying, among others.

But, I think the show that really made me want to be active in a local scene, got me into underground punk, and made me want to cover more of these bands through my writing efforts was a show at Meat Town USA in New Brunswick, NJ with Screaming Females, The Pussy Pirates, Slaw, and The Invincible Gods. It was so new to me, my first basement show, and really opened my eyes and ears.
