Beaches (from Australia) schedule 3 Brooklyn shows, 2 w/ Partyline (from DC)

Beaches are in the U.S. From Australia to continue a run of dates after their SXSW appearance. The 5-piece have played All Tomorrow Parties, Big Day Out, Laneaway Festival, Melbourne International Arts Festival and Meredith Music Festival plus have opened for Mogwai, Deehunter, and Lightning Bolt. They blend '70s psychedelia, shoegaze, and garage rock.

Beginning tonight at the The Bell House in Brooklyn for the Aussie BBQ 2010, the band will perform three shows. The BBQ brings together 12 bands from Australia. The line-up features Paul Dempsey, Pets with Pets, The Chevelles, Sherlock's Daughter, Children Collide, Oh Mercy, Love of Diagrams, Oh Mercy, Crayon Fields, City Riots, Bliss N Eso, and The Goons of Doom. Tickets are available here for $15. 21+. 6pm. They'll also play shows with DC's fun punk band Partyline and Total Slacker during their Brooklyn run.

Beaches debut album is out on Mistletone, but it appears to be sold out, so try picking one up at a show.
