The N Result truly bring it on Lines, the New Brunswick six-piece's first full-length. The album is jammy, funky and rockin' with moving songs and a free-style flowing vibe. The vocals shift between Ross and MC Chase in appropriate fashion. There's no computerized beats here, rather real instruments played by talented musicians. This is some of the hottest, real, rock influenced hip-hop songs with true lyrics, dual vocals, and nice guitar and keys that I've heard coming from Jersey right now.
Lines begins with "On My Shoulder," an inspiring track that goes "I'm better, I'm stronger...the weight of the world is on my shoulders." Then there's "The Real Thing," a funky song with a nice groove. The band's lead single "Lines" is a smooth song. They remind us: "I shine, you shine." There's even an acoustic song called "Falling Apart." The songs tells stories of love, loss, and life. This is an awesome 12-song release that is tight from top to bottom. Get into it. These are some hot tracks.
The N Result is Ross Lippencott- Vocals, Guitar; Chase Innis- MC, Dan Bascom-Guitar;
Bobby Tarrantino-Bass; Eitan Levine-Keyboard; Nate Sankary-Drums
