Persephone's Bees kick off NYC shows tonight

Persephones Bees, a pop, '60s, glam, and punk inspired band, whose Notes from The Underworld album I reviewed in 2006 for my college's publication, have 4 upcoming NYC shows. Lead singer Angelina Moysov hails from Russia, but the band is based out of Oakland. The shows kick off tonight at Piano's, 158 Ludlow, the very place I happen to be now. The band performs at 8:30pm, followed by Bend Sister and The Big Death Scene. Show's $10.

Friday 'Bees open for Hey Champ and Elk City at Bell House in Brooklyn. Show's at 8pm. $8 in advance here, $10 at the door. They'll then move on to Santos Party House next Monday, and top if off with a gig at Highline Ballroom opening for Diamondsnake.

Persephone's Bees Tour Dates:

June 2 @ Piano's, New York, NY
June 4 @ The Bell House, New York, NY
June 14 @ Santos Party House, New York, NY
June 17 @ Highline Ballroom, New York, NY
