Album Review: Byrds of Paradise keep it quick on 'Omega Man' 7-inch

Byrds of Paradise- Omega Man 7''
Brooklyn, NY
Released on June 23, 2010
Don Giovanni Records

For fans of: Vivian Girls, Titus Andronicus, Waaves

Byrds of Paradise have that lo-fi, fuzzy punk sound you'd kind of expect from a Brooklyn band. The music is in pop-punk form--fast, catchy, and poppy, but a bit different, too. "Omega Man" is a scuzzy punk song with a garage-rock edge. "They let me down, I miss her," goes the song.  "Members" is a fast, 1-minute long song that goes by way too quick. This release is just under 4 minutes. Good songs, but leaves me wanting more. Way more.

Omega Man is available at the Don Giovanni Records store. The band also have a 7'' called Rowena on Vivian Girls label Wild World Records. That's available here.

Omega Man Tracklisting:
