It's not all the time we review bands outside of the NJ/NY/PA area, but one band from California called Forming, seemed to fit within the indie/emo rock sound that reminds me of many Brooklyn bands. There's a desperation in the singer's voice when he sings of struggles, heartache, and missing others. "Hate My Gutz" is a bittersweet song in great indie/emo-rock form. Parts of the band have a slowed down guitar feel like on "Burgundy" and others noise rock like the "Morning After." These are some cool songs overall. Check out one of the songs above.
