Ambient, indie-rockers As Tall As Lions have announced their retirement. The New York City band's music was beautiful. When they performed it was like they were making love to their instruments. This band was breathtaking. Why must I have to say was? They released three full-length album's. 2004's Lafcadio, 2006's As Tall As Lions, and 2009's You Can't Take It With You, all released on Triple Crown Records. The dudes were really nice when I met them. I have a setlist and a t-shirt I purchased at Bamboozle that'll cherish. Thanks for the great music. I'll miss you! Hope to see you on Dec.19.
As Tall As Lions is Daniel Nigro, Julio Tavarez, Saen Fitzgerald, Cliff Sarcona. Brian Caeser was also in the band for a short time and is now in For Every Story Untold.
After eight years of music, friendship, laughter, adventure, bliss, blood, sweat, tears, and everything else that goes along with it, As Tall As Lions are retiring for the foreseeable future. There is no sadness on our side, and we hope there is none on yours. We will be playing a handful of shows across the country to try and give everyone an opportunity to see us one last time.
They'll perform three more shows, including one in New York City on Dec. 19th. Details on this date are here.
