EP Review: Airplane Noise soften your heart on power popper 'Getting Down'

Airplane Noise- Getting Down
Back to Work Records
Florence, New Jersey
Released August 2010

For fans of: Weezer, Death Cab for Cutie, Reggie and the Full Effect

Airplane Noise is a power pop band.; however so, the songs have slight ska and folk elements. Their songs feature keyboard, harmonica, tambourine, and xylophone. The first two songs "Go Ahead" and "Last Night" are upbeat and poppy, but the last three take on a lighter tone and features some acoustic guitar. "Goodbye" gets rockin' but still has a light and sad tone to it. My favorite line is: "Friends don’t take breaks, so why are you going? We both made mistakes, so why are we throwing things away?" from "Last Night." Might as well check it out if you'r e into this. The album's up for free here: http://www.airplanenoiseband.com/
