Spotlight: Young American Artists

Today we're proud to announce the first guest musician contributor. Here Gregg Kautz, guitarist of Chambers, writes about Young American Artists:

Growing up, my favorite rock bands were the ones that didn't really fit into one particular genre or scene. Are they punk? hardcore? grunge? stoner rock? These type of bands were always the most exciting to listen to, because they were always the most honest. These are also the most rare type of bands to find, but every once in a while they emerge from the shadows. New Jeresy's own Young American Artist happens to be one of these bands. Like Black Flag meets a more punk rock / hardcore version of Nirvana and Mudhoney, Young American Artist play real rock n roll with no bullshit. The songs are short, to the point and pack a bare knuckle punch. If you like fuzzy guitars, loud drums, and vocals in the vein Kurt Cobain, then check out Young American Artists. (Best track on their myspace : Denial (live studio recording)- G.K.
Grab their Under a Rock, a 22-song digital album full of studio recordings, live recordings, and B-sides for just $2: http://youngamericanartists.bandcamp.com/album/under-a-rock?token=EC-5D393023JJ207594W
