I miss you. Why did you just disappear? I don't expect an answer, but recently I've been thinking about you. Your songs were some of the first I've heard in the emo/power pop/indie rock kind of music. I saw you for the first time at Rexplex in Elizabath. Wow, remember that place? I don't remember much what I thought about the show, but I do remember that Melanie was at the merch table after the set and I thought that was really cool. We briefly spoke and you and you all signed my CD! You were so nice and I appreciated that.
I also remember you had a video shoot at Cricket Club in Irvington, not too far from where I lived in Newark. My mom said she would take me and I was looking forward to it, but then for whatever reason said she couldn't take me at the last minute. I was so bummed. I poured my eyes out for a good hour or so. I don't remember if this was before or after, but I saw you at Vintage Vinyl in Fords in 2004 (I had to look that up). as well. We took a photo--you can see below. I think there were two guys headbanging during your set, haha.
I've somehow lost the newer version of Finally you released on Play the Assassin and also not sure what happened to the 5 latest songs you released: "Greasy Jungle," "Sound of My Voice," (my favorite), etc. How was that released anyway? I have them digitally on my computer thankfully. That was a good EP. Heartfelt. Sweet. Honest. Catchy.
Anyway, thanks for those few years. It was cool seeing ya'll play. Anyone in the band playing music these days?
Love,
Star Beat Music
