Modern Hut (The Measure, For Science, Screaming Females) releases new music

The man behind the NJ label Don Giovanni has his own band called Modern Hut, who recently released two tracks. The trio consists of Joe (formerly of For Science), Marissa (of Screaming Females), and Fid (formerly of The Measure SA).For the more fuzzy indie-punk inclined listeners Joe Steinhardt band is cool. The vocals fall a little flat in the same way that Adam of Tigers Jaw do sometimes but they carry on steadily. You get a n upbeat fuzzy track on "Wrong." On "Life" the song switches vocals between Joe and Marissa in a similar fashion that The Moldy Peaches does with Kimya and Adam. Joe and Marissa both sing:

I'm not proud of the things that I've done in this life,
but that's alright because I will die.

It's a lighter song you can move your head back and fourth to while whistling. It's a simple folky song, but part of me just wishes their was more to it, like trumpet--nonetheless it's a pretty cool jangly track.
