Jonah Matranga of FAR, onelinedrawing, and Gratitude fame is performing three shows in the Garden State beginning on Wednesday. The first show is at Watermark in Asbury Park and presented by S*ALT. Also performing is Status Green and The Riverwinds. Mike Merrell, Race and Pete Lepore from ShoreAlternative.com will be dj'ing inbetween sets. 21+. Details available here.
On Thursday and Friday Jonah will perform with ambiet/post-hardcore 6-rockers Last Days of Empire. Thursday is a special evening of "unplugged" and acoustic music at Crossroads in Garwood, NJ. The night features sets by Jonah Matranga, Last Days of Empire, Streets of Fire, Nick Cucci (of River City Extention), Mike Cuntala, and Grand Alto.
Then Friday night it's LDOE and Jonah at The Court Tavern in New Brunswick, NJ. Doors at 7pm. $8. 21+. The Anderson Council, Waking with Caveman, and Only Living Boy also perform. Make sure to catch Jonah while he's in town.
In FAR news, the band has announced a May 25 release date on Vagrant for their fifth full-length album, At Night We Live. The band's new song "Deafening" is available for stream at their MySpace. The band is known for their hit "Mother Mary," and inspiring many of today's post-hardcore and rock bands.
