Alpha Rev has been on tour for a few months in support of their album New Morning. This Wednesday they perform at Brooklyn Bowl with JP, Chrissie and The Fairground (the new project from Chrissie Hynde of The Pretenders and Welsh Songwriter JP Jones).
The event is a 101.9 RXP Experience Next event. Doors open at 6pm with Alpha Rev playing at 8pm. 21+. The show is free, but donations are request to help Stray From The Heart, "a non-profit dog rescue organization whose mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and place homeless dogs with loving new families."
The band's song "Colder Months" recalls the singer's experience in NYC: "Took the L to the Union Square/ Watched the pretty girls comb their hair/ They turn away as I turn and stare/ I'm still bleedin'" You can take the L train to the Bedford Ave stop. Exit at the rear of the train, walk North on Bedford Ave. Make a left at N. 11th st, walk 2 blocks. Make right on Wythe, Brooklyn Bowl is on the right.
