Tall Tall Trees played the After Work Concert Series at the Bryant Park this past Wednesday. It was great seeing this band in an outdoor environment, suitable for the band's name. The weather was quite warm at 90 degrees. People sat around throughout the park enjoying the folk-rock of Tall Tall Trees at the park's beautiful fountain terrace.
The band played songs like "If You Want It," "Family," and awesome last song "Shit." The banjo is a nice complement to the band's charming sound. One song was about a trip to Alaska or a "musical iceberg" as singer Mike Savino said. The band played for a full hour to a delighted audience.
They have two upcoming NYC dates, including June 4 at Bar 4 in Brooklyn and July 3 at Mercury Lounge in Manhattan.
