Brooklyn's Milagres is performing at Bar Matchless the Battering Room's Daytime Showcase as part of Northside Festival this Sunday, June 27th. The band performs at 4pm along with with Shark?, The Press, and Gray Young. The show starts at 2pm and is free. The band is performing songs off its latest album, Seven Summits.
Ambitious both musically and conceptually, Seven Summits is an album created out of an obsession with the mortality, hubris, risk, ambition and beauty of mountain climbing, a passion that songwriter and front man Kyle Wilson picked up in his hometown of New Mexico, but fully realized while daydreaming in New York. Fittingly recorded on an abandoned farm in Massachusetts, the album is a collection of stories picked up from mountain guides, fellow climbers, history books and folklore in the climbing community.
