Chief releasing new album + NYC shows (2 free, opening for Dr. Dog)



Chief, a Santa Monica, California based band, is releasing its new album Modern Rituals on Aug. 17. The album is streaming on MySpace today. The band will be in town for three show beginning this weekend. On Saturday, Aug. 14th the band plays Rock Yard, a  Dickies and Jelly NYC presented show at 354 Wythe Ave in Williamsburg. The show is an outdoor party with food, games, and musical performances with Minks, Frankie Rose and the Outs and Total Slacker at 2pm. Then Sunday, Aug. 15th the band performs a free show with Dr. Dog on Governor's Island. 6pm Doors. 8pm Show. Finally, the band wrap it up with an intimate gig at Joe's Pub on Tuesday, Aug. 17th, the band's record release show. Doors 7pm. More info here.
