As it nears a year since we released our first record for Those Mockingbirds, I am excited to announce that I will be participating in a storytelling event this Wednesday about my involvement in the music industry and how we came together as a label. The series, presented by Homoground and Papercut Press entitled "Nerd Grrrl Series" will feature myself and 5 other women involved in various parts of the musical world. One of the questions I ask is: how many Hispanic women do you know that run a label?
This month's storytellers are:

- Mindy Abovitz (Tom Tom Magazine)
- Star (StarBeat Music Record Label)
- Jen Pelly (Pitchfork)
The event will be held at 7pm on Wednesday, January 16th at
Bluestockings Bookstore, Café, & Activist Center

F to 2nd Street or J to Essex/Delancey Street
Dub Trio play at Rockwood Music Hall 2 for free down the block afterward at 10pm.
