5 Points News: Murder By Death, The Measure (SA), Calentura, Screaming Females, Good Luck

• Murder By Death's new song "Foxhole" is available for stream here, courtesy of PunkNews. It's from the band's new album, Good Morning, Magpie due out April 2. 
• The Measure (SA) is doing a tour of the east coast around Harvest of Hope in March. In the spring they plan to release their next LP on No Idea Records. Check out the dates here.
• Calentura are back from hiatus after two years with two new members. They'll play their first show back on March 26th in NYC. Hear songs and check out the show info here.
• Screaming Females have been added to Ted Leo's upcoming Spring tour. They are currently out with Jeff the Brotherhood and end the tour in Brooklyn on Feb. 23 at Death by Audio. 
• Good Luck is also doing a tour after Harvest of Hope. They'll be at Death by Audio on March 18. 

5 Points News on Look Mexico, Methodical, Scantron, Pregnant, and Suicide City

5 Points News is back!

* Look Mexico have posted tour dates for their mostly east coast U.S. tour. this February and March They'll be in NYC on March 10, and NJ on March 11. In addition, their video for "You Stay. I Go. No Following" can be viewed here. Their 7'' single is available for pre-sale while their full-length is out in March.

* Methodical have posted a bunch of shows in NJ, plus CT, MA, and PA. Their next Jersey gig is with Soulfly at The Starland Ballroom in Sayreville on March 11.

* Scantron, featuring Angie (of Little Lungs/ Cheeky) have their new EP up for free. More on the band and the free tunes from this all girl queer four piece from Brooklyn is available through The Girls Are here. 

* Pregnant have posted 2 new songs. Listen to them here.

* Finally, Suicide City is wrapping it up. The punk rock outfit performs its last show at Highline Ballroom with Seventh Void, as part of Cirque Du Rock on Feb. 11. More info is available here.

5 Points News: Exit She Calls, Little Lungs, P.S. Eliot, Screaming Females, and Slingshot Dakota

5 Points news is back!

Exit She Calls have posted three new songs from their recently released debut album entitled Out of Reach. They perform with Bayonet in Perth Amboy, NJ tonight and have a bunch of upcoming shows.

Little Lungs have posted a new song called "Estranged." It's from the bands new 7-inch record called Living Hell out on Salinas Records. They will also be on tour in the February and March, so check out those dates, both in the U.S. and Australia. The next local show is at 538 Johnson on Jan. 16 with Hail Hydra, Field Day, Sweet Bulbs, and Broccoli Destroyer.

P.S. Eliot have also posted a new song called "Bear Named Otis." It's from their 7-inch called Living in Squalor out on Freedom Schools Records in February. The band is also touring March. E-mail them here if you'd like to help book one of the dates.

Screaming Females have posted a somewhat new song called "I Do." It was originally a Surgery on TV song (Marissa and Mike's old band). It was released on a split 7 inch with JEFF: the Brotherhood and now will be released on the bands singles collection CD EP out on Don Giovanni Records on Feb. 9. The band play in New Brunswick this Saturday with Campio Formio (from Puerto Rico) and Natural Child.

Slingshot Dakota are busy writing new songs but they are playing a few local shows. One of them is tonight at 538 Johnson with Tigers Jaw, Aficionado, End of a Year, and Sleepwell. Last year they released a free, 3-song demo on If You Make It.

* Brooklyn punk/rock band Nakatomi Plaza have called it quit, but are releasing a new album, and playing some final shows after its 10 year history. More info here.

* Hardcore outfit Zombie Dogs have posted 4 songs off their upcoming 7 inch release on MySpace.

* Indie shoe-gazers Vivian Girls headline at Death by Audio this Tuesday with The Beets and Real Estate.

* Punk/pop outfit Lemuria have a new print available for pre-order here. The 7-color screen print on French Brand Banana Split 100lb with cover stock in a limited edition of 200 signed and numbered copies.
