Apache Beat's new album out 10/5, playing Siren Music Festival

Brooklyn's Apache Beat is releasing its new album, Last Chants, on October 5. The album features contributions from members of Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Rapture and Lightspeed Champion. The band's single "Another Day" is available for stream on the band's myspace. It will be available digitally and as a limited 7'' in July.

Additionally, the band is performing at Siren Music Festival in Coney Island on July 17th with Matt & Kim, Ted Leo, Holy Fuck, Earl Greyhound, Wye Oak, and more. It's sure to be one big outdoor party! The fest runs from noon to 9pm and of course, it's free.

Screaming Females new album out 9/14, playing Siren Fest, guest mixtape

If you dig rock music, then you should probably listen to Screaming Females. The band has already finished their third full-length album, Castle Talk, out on Don Giovanni Records on Sept. 14. The release will feature 11 songs. The band's been playing songs from the album at their live shows for the past several months. A YouTube search brings up some of the songs. Simply put, they sound great. If there's one thing this rock 'n roll band maintain, it's groove, and they're darn good at it.

The band is also performing at this year's always free Siren Music Festival at Coney Island on July 17th alongside Matt & Kim, Ted Leo, Surfer Blood, Cymbals Eat Guitar, Ponytail, and more.

Finally, the band recently put together a mixtape for a feature on Artist Advocacy featuring Bongwater, Cheeky, Jeff the Brotherhood, None More Black, P.S. Eliot, and many more. Take a listen to hear some songs the band listen to on the road and whenever:
