CMJ 2009 Guide: Free Punk Showcase 10/23

Shiragirl, Suicide City, and Kiss Kiss will perform a free punk showcase this Friday, Oct. 23 at Public Assembly in Brooklyn. Doors are 7pm and it starts at 7:30pm. 18 plus. The three bands bring an energetic and fun live show that's not to be missed. I've personally seen these bands multiple times.

Shiragirl get it rockin' with their punk/ hip hop sound. They just released a new single "Sick Day" and have some new songs and a new cover they are going to play. Suicide City bring a harder punk rock sound with driving melody. Singer Karl is all of the place and that coupled with the energy of JennCity, Danny, and AJ makes for a great show. Finally, Kiss Kiss bring their circus punk sound that starts off slow, then builds to something crazy.

10/23, 7-11pm, 18+, No Cover, $3 PBR
8pm Kiss Kiss
9pm Suicide City
10pm ShiraGirl
